My name is Cynthia Halverson and I’m an event and portrait photographer in the Los Angeles area. My love for photography started over 15 years ago while living in Tacoma WA where I immersed myself in learning everything I could about event and portrait photography. After moving to Los Angeles I was fortunate enough to meet amazing photographers who took me under their wings and taught me skills that a classroom could not.
Often I am told that I have a knack for engaging people and that I have never met a stranger. Maybe this has something to do with growing up in the Midwest community of Minnetonka Minnesota. It is this engaging quality which allows me to make people smile and feel at ease in any situation.
Over the past several years I have had the privilege of working with incredible people, talented musicians and experienced spectacular events. My home base is Los Angeles but I love to travel and would be happy to document your event anywhere a plane can take me.
When I am not behind the camera you can find me enjoying my free time on the beaches of Southern California doing what else, but photographing local surfers. Or you may also see me with a big smile swoosh past you on my vintage 3 speed bicycle.
